Talisa and Raquel, the group’s facilitators, invites you to participate from around the country for support, education, robust programming, expert speakers and the opportunity to meet others who understand the special challenges under-represented populations like the Black community face. These challenges include accessing equitable, quality health care and dealing with the unique obstacles arthritis can bring.
Support groups like this one, led by volunteers and often feature guest experts, offer a place of understanding and encouragement for both people living with arthritis and their loved ones. Participants become self-advocates, develop self-management skills and learn how to not just survive life with arthritis but to also thrive.
