AmeriCorps is under attack:
1️⃣ The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is withholding nearly $200 million in AmeriCorps funds, preventing 19,000 @AmeriCorps members and @AmeriCorpsSeniors volunteers from starting service right now; and,
2️⃣ The President’s Fiscal Year 2026 budget proposes to eliminate AmeriCorps entirely.
If we don’t act, students will lose out on vital tutoring and support services, disaster teams won’t be available to deploy as we reach peak hurricane and wildfire season, and communities like ours will suffer.
