To celebrate the life and legacy of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on her 88th birthday this March 15th, we are excited to announce that we are partnering with @nmajh and @uclamaj for the upcoming livestream program, "For the Love of Opera" featuring performances of a selection of RBG's favorite opera arias.
This musical event will air at 8 pm ET and include performances recorded from NMAJH’s Dell Theater especially for this occasion by Joshua Blue (tenor), Norman Garrett (baritone), Michelle Rice (soprano), and Ashley Marie Robillard (soprano) with instrumental accompaniment by Stephen Karr (piano) and Grant Loehnig (piano). The event will also feature remarks and reflections by Francesca Zambello (stage director, artistic director for the @WashingtonNationalOpera and the @GlimmerglassFestival), Lawrence Brownlee (tenor, Artistic Advisor of @operaohila) and Peter Kazaras (stage director, tenor, Director of Opera @UCLA).
