Underwood-Smith Loan Overview
The Underwood-Smith Teacher Loan Assistance Program is for practicing educators of mathematics, science, special education, elementary education, and counseling in areas of high need in West Virginia.
Eligible teachers must agree to teach full-time in a public school in West Virginia in a subject area or geographic area of critical need for two school years for each year loan assistance is received.
