Each year on August 12, the international community passes the mic to the world’s young people for International Youth Day. At USAID MOMENTUM, we recognize that we can’t just work for youth—we must also work with them to build sustainable health systems that serve and promote their health. With access to high-quality health care and services, young people can build the healthy futures they want.
USAID MOMENTUM, a suite of innovative awards funded by USAID to holistically improve voluntary family planning and maternal, newborn, and child health services in partner countries around the world, has produced this toolkit to help you highlight youth voices. On Thursday, August 11 and Friday, August 12, MOMENTUM will host two youth organizations we work with–Kenya’s Youth for Sustainable Development (Machakos Chapter) and South Sudan’s Shabab le Shabab–for “Youth Truth” sessions. You can use the toolkit below to help promote these sessions and MOMENTUM’s other work with and for youth around the world during the week of International Youth Day.
