As Congress and state legislatures convene in the new year, they will have the opportunity to invest in kids, but lawmakers need to hear from YOU first!
Valentine’s Day (February 14) provides us with a fun way to tell our lawmakers to “have a heart” by prioritizing early learning in their budgets.
Join us in urging Congress to "have a heart and invest in kids" by sharing the social posts below. To find your lawmakers social media handles, visit here for the list of U.S. House of Representatives and/or do a quick search online for other lawmakers.
Invite your friends and family to join the action, too!
Along with sharing posts on your platforms, we'll also be collecting pictures of valentines that you create to share on our platforms. Be sure to tag us (@SCActionNetwork or @SavetheChildren) and use #InvestInKids so we can see your posts and share them widely. We encourage you to use the sample posts below to share your valentine photos.
We'll use your submissions to launch a friendly poll on Valentine's Day on our Instagram to ask voters to vote for valentine cards they think stand out. The winner will be featured in special highlight post across our social media pages.
