California’s climate future is at stake, and your voice can help protect it.
The Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) supports critical programs that fight climate change and build resilience in our communities, from wildfire prevention and habitat restoration to healthy soils and climate-ready state parks. But unless the legislature acts, this essential fund will sunset in 2030.
We need your help to urge state leaders to reauthorize the GGRF and include funding for natural and working lands — vital landscapes like forests, wetlands, grasslands, and parks that are key to meeting California’s 2045 carbon neutrality goals.

California’s redwoods store more carbon per acre than any forest on Earth, making them critical to fighting climate change. Protecting them protects our future.

From forests to grasslands, nature can deliver up to 15% of California’s needed greenhouse gas cuts — but only if we invest in it now.
