The IMPD Network’s 2024 Impact Report showcases some of the results achieved by the 15 states active in the network that year. By focusing on the adoption of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) paired with curriculum-based professional learning (CBPL), states in the Network have accelerated progress in classrooms across the country.

In 2022, Alabama passed the Alabama Numeracy Act requiring the state to convene a task force focused on math. The task force reviews HQIM for instruction and provides a continuum of hiqh-quality professional learning for educators. Learn more: bit.ly/4fThDft. #StatesLeading
Nebraska is increasing access to HQIM and training for educators through partnerships and incentive programs. The state is also partnering with regional educational service units and vendors, showing evidence of a positive impact on math performance for elementary and middle school students. Tennessee districts have been incentivized to provide high-dosage, low-ratio tutoring for eligible students through the state’s TN All Corps tutoring program. Washington became the first state in the country to mandate an automatic enrollment policy for advanced math classes in all high schools. As a result, Washington has seen improvements in math performance among high school students, reflecting the positive impact of the automatic enrollment policy. North Carolina passed a bill requiring students who score at the highest level on end-of-year math assessments to be automatically placed in advanced math classes.
