Nebraska is increasing access to HQIM and training for educators through partnerships and incentive programs. Washington became the first state in the country to mandate an automatic enrollment policy for advanced math classes in all high schools. As a result, Washington has seen improvements in math performance among high school students, reflecting the positive impact of the automatic enrollment policy. North Carolina passed a bill requiring students who score at the highest level on end-of-year math assessments to be automatically placed in advanced math classes.
