In 2024, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Fifty years is an extraordinary milestone, and we invite you to join us as we mark this special occasion.
This one-of-a-kind program reaches every corner of the country, from urban cities to rural towns and populations in between, primarily serving low-to-moderate income populations.
This Communications Toolkit is a resource for all CDBG stakeholders to educate the public and government officials about the transformational impact of CDBG projects.
Within this toolkit, you will find tools and messaging that can be used to promote, celebrate, and most importantly educate and inspire others about CDBG’s invaluable achievements. Participation in the CDBG 50th Anniversary celebrations will generate a sense of pride and accomplishment among volunteers, partners, and staff. Additionally, celebrating past accomplishments can foster a stronger team connection and reinvigorate efforts for the next 50 years!
Look out for updates monthly as we continue the 50th anniversary celebration, including more social media posts, messaging, and other templates.
The 50th Anniversary branding can be accessed and downloaded by emailing CDBG50@HUD.Gov for approval and confirmation of usage requirements.
