October is National Seafood Month (NSM) and we have partnered with Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch to drive awareness around sustainable seafood. Compass Group has long-standing commitments to do what is best for the planet and our oceans by only purchasing sustainable seafood.
National Seafood Month is a great time to showcase our commitment to the health of our oceans and educate our clients, guests and associates. Our Chefs' delicious food is the perfect vehicle to demonstrate that change can be both tasty and good for the planet.
We use October to showcase our commitment to sustainable seafood but you can use our catalog of sustainability marketing and social media messaging to continue to drive our messaging year-round.

Purchasing local products has been a critical part of Compass Group's purchasing philosophy for years. We are proud to support the communities where we live, work and operate our businesses. Now we are expanding our local purchasing to include this pilot program that focuses on the onboarding of BIPOC Farmers in the Carolinas and California. Starting in June 2023, our program will expand to Seattle, Virginia, Maryland, and Illinois.

Valdivia Farms produce, especially heirloom

best known, has long received high praise from
local chefs. And farming is very much a family
affair, with two of Francisco’s three children, as
well as other relatives, actively involved in the
operation. We are proud to source from such an amazing Farm.
