California Adult Education Program (CAEP) Summit 2026

The CAEP Summit 2026 brings together educators, administrators, coordinators, and support staff across California to strengthen adult education through collaboration and innovation.
Taking place October 27-30, 2026, this three-day event will feature keynotes, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities guided by this year's theme, Advancing Adult Learners: Access, Opportunity, and Success. The Summit highlights strategies to expand access, close equity gaps, and support adult learners in achieving their goals—co-hosted by the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office, the California Department of Education, the Sacramento County Office of Education, and North Orange Continuing Education.

About the Summit
The California Community Colleges Digital Center for Innovation, Transformation, and Equity, an initiative of the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office, operated with principal partner, Foothill-De-Anza Community College District, will present Futures Summit 2027, its fourth year, carrying forward the momentum of past Summits to further advance innovation and expand access for students and communities.
The Futures Summit brings together educators, leaders, and partners committed to expanding access and fostering innovation across the California Community Colleges. Each year, the event provides space for collaboration, dialogue, and shared solutions that move the system forward.

2027 CCC LGBTQIA2S+Summit
Description
About the summit
The 9th Annual 2027 LGBTQIA2S+ Summit, taking place in person in April 2027, will bring together LGBTQIA2S+ students, faculty, Classified Professionals, administrators, and allies from across California. Hosted by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office in partnership with the Foundation for California Community Colleges, the summit will create space for participants to share experiences, strengthen connections, and explore ways to foster more inclusive and welcoming college campuses.
Guided by the theme, One Brick at a Time: Building on a Legacy of Courage and Resistance, the summit recognizes the generations of LGBTQIA2S+ leaders and communities whose courage, advocacy, and commitment have helped pave the way for greater visibility, belonging, and opportunity.
Through shared experiences, learning, and dialogue, participants will explore how we can continue building more inclusive and welcoming college campuses where LGBTQIA2S+ students, faculty, and Classified Professionals feel supported and empowered. Together, we will build on the foundation created by those who came before us and take meaningful steps toward a future where belonging is not simply promised, but lived, one brick at a time.
