This spring, Generation Hope Scholars are approaching the finish line.
They have attended classes after long work shifts. They have studied after bedtime routines, balanced assignments with pediatric appointments, navigated childcare gaps, stretched paychecks, and kept going through circumstances that would make many people stop.
At Generation Hope, we are preparing to celebrate a milestone that means so much more than a number: nearly 300 degrees earned by our Scholars. Each degree represents years of persistence, a family’s future widened, and a student parent who refused to let broken systems decide what was possible.
In our current system, families are forced to prove their hardship again and again before they receive support. All the while they are balancing the search for stable housing, remaining employed, parenting, and studying full time.
Given these realities it is no surprise that an unpaid balance, a financial hold, a gap in tuition or an unexpected expense that arrives right before graduation can stand between a student parent and the stage, even after they have completed the coursework, met the requirements, and done everything asked of them.
With your support, we can remove final financial barriers, celebrate this season’s graduates, and help Generation Hope push past 300 degrees earned by Scholars.
