As a member of the NextGen Board at United Friends, I am incredibly proud to be a part of an organization that is responding to the risks and challenges that foster youth are faced with amidst the COVID-19 crisis. The COVID-19 pandemic underscores the harsh reality of the lack of adequate housing for former foster youth. That is why the Pathways Housing Program at United Friends is so critical. As a member of their NextGen Board, I am incredibly proud of the work United Friends is doing with Pathways, which offers a range of services, including independent living skills training, educational guidance, career development, counseling, and mental health guidance.
