Why Am I Like This?
Description
Being a human can be weird. When you're basically a brain trapped in a skeleton, inside a meat suit with trillions of complex chemical reactions going off at the same time. So you're bound to have some ...snafus. Even when everything is "normal" (whatever that means), you might not always get what your body is doing… or why. Dr. Tina Lasisi, full-time biological anthropologist and part-time human, is here to help you make sense of how and why our bodies do what they do. This series sheds light on the history and evolutionary biology of our quirks through Dr. Lasisi’s brand of humor and patented tongue-in-cheek delivery. From understanding why we smell to how melanin works and even what our hair is for, join us on PBS Terra as we go in search of answers to the question… Why am I like this?

Native American people are taking back their narratives AND their land through film and TV. Representation that used to be mostly limited to stereotypes in Western films now includes nuanced perspectives on Native American culture. With this new wave of Native American comedies, written and created by Native peoples, shows like Reservation Dogs and Rutherford Falls are able to challenge stereotypes and address big political movements like #LandBack.

Far Out
Description
Far Out is a new PBS digital series that explores the future of science, technology, and culture and how these changes may affect humanity and life on Earth. With bright, dynamic graphics and pop culture and sci-fi references, the series will be humorous and fun, but unafraid to ask tough questions and explore unknowns.
Hosted by Swapna Krishna, a science journalist, podcaster, and sci-fi writer covering everything from NASA to Marvel, Far Out premieres on PBS’s Terra YouTube channel in May 2022, with new episodes releasing every three weeks. The series is produced for PBS by PBS North Carolina, the team behind the award-winning PBS series Overview.
