AmeriCorps and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have joined forces through Public Health AmeriCorps. Together, we are supporting the recruitment, training, and development of the next generation of public health leaders who will be ready to respond to the nation’s public health needs.
Public Health AmeriCorps has two main goals:
Since 2022, Public Health AmeriCorps has awarded more than $200 million in funding to 103 grantees, placing more than 6,500 members at 1,400 sites across all 50 states, Washington, D.C., Guam, and Puerto Rico.

Looking for a way to participate?
1. Share the PSA and Member Stories: Share our videos ranging from 15-60 second lengths or download for easy sharing. Explore our YouTube channel here or download video content from our Social Media Sharables (Video) tab, below.
2. Access the Public Health AmeriCorps Member and Grantee Resource Library: Download all our assets, including newsletters, training and professional development resources, photos, and more here.
3. Use #PublicHealthAmeriCorps: Incorporate #PublicHealthAmeriCorps into your organization’s social media to join the national effort.
4. Promote Service on Social Media: You can now share social media posts about member stories, benefits, and other recruitment efforts. Find the content in our Social Media Shareables (Graphics) tab, below. You also can add in your logo and photos to our editable Canva templates in 1600X1900 format and 1080X1080 format.
5. Download Videos and Photos: Download a variety of digital and traditional ads for older and younger audiences that can be co-branded with your organization and AmeriCorps. Download ad content from our Video/Photo Downloads tab, below.
6. Support Recruitment and Engage Champions and Alumni: Utilize the Recruitment Resources tab to access the recruitment toolkit, key messaging, alumni presentation, and story sharing resources. You can also order printed materials from our promotions store free of charge for all Public Health AmeriCorps grantees.
7. Share your Service Story: Submit your service story at Americorps.gov/ShareYourStory to be featured on our website, social media, and more.
