How Should We Talk About This?
✔ Say this: Talk about the people impacted and your business - cutting local solar projects and stopping vendor payments.
❌ Avoid this: Spending freezes or budget negotiations, making this about cutting spending or processes.

Universal Calendar Google CalendarFor residents in Miami-Dade County, there’s never been a better time to go solar.
Solar United Neighbors (SUN) has just opened our supportive group buying program — what we call a solar co-op — for residents and businesses in the area. Our co-ops have helped hundreds of homeowners across the United States and Puerto Rico go solar at a more affordable price, and now it’s a resource available to you!
Going solar in a group can help you get a better installation rate, choose a trusted installer, and provide you with the support of solar experts and other solar homeowners.
The co-op is free to join and there’s never an obligation to buy solar panels – you can step away at any time. If you agree that now is a good time to explore going solar, and you want more information to get started, joining the co-op is a great place to start!
Partner organizations for the Miami-Dade Solar Co-op include Miami-Dade County and the Leon Lowenstein Foundation.

This is a social media kit for promoting Together for Fair Credit and Fair Rates, a Solar United Neighbors campaign to fight back against NV Energy's proposal to slash fair compensation for solar - a policy known as 'net metering' - or NEM for short - while simultaneously seeking to increase utility rates.
We have prepared posts for instagram, x, and facebook which you can use to promote our events leading up to the PUCN consumer sessions in June.
May 2 - June 6
NV Energy’s proposal would make solar energy less affordable and increase everyone's energy costs, while also increasing its profits for shareholders. As Nevada's monopoly utility, NV Energy gives customers no alternative choice for where they get their power. Join our webinar to learn about the proposal, our strategy to oppose it, and how you can help protect fair solar compensation and prevent rate hikes.
