Bipartisan Infrastructure Law digital campaign begins
2nd anniversary of the signing of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law
Bipartisan Infrastructure Law digital campaign ends
With historic funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, we’re making America’s roads and vehicles safer for all. To date, 700 communities—representing over half of all Americans—have received funding to improve the streets they walk, bike, and drive on. @USDOT
For decades, daily train derailments were considered industry standard. But now, we have the funding to improve safety along America’s railways—inspecting more track, eliminating dangerous rail-to-road crossings, and training more first responders to keep communities safe. @USDOT
President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is the single largest investment in America’s infrastructure since the construction of the Interstate Highway System in 1956. We’re rebuilding America and creating good-paying construction jobs along the way. @USDOT
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law has paved the way for an infrastructure decade where no community is left behind. Tens of thousands of projects have been initiated in communities large and small—advancing equity and improving accessibility for everyone. @USDOT
The transportation sector generates the largest share of greenhouse gas emissions—we’re working to change that. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is the single largest investment in climate resilience and will help us reach our goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. @USDOT
We’re working to make sure EVs are made in America by American workers, and to make EVs more affordable. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law has already delivered $2.2 billion to place chargers along 75,000 miles of road—turning the great American road trip electric. @USDOT
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law isn’t just rebuilding America’s aging infrastructure, it’s helping us innovate and modernize all of our transportation systems—making them more affordable, efficient and safe. The technologies we’re developing today will enable a better tomorrow. @USDOT
This toolkit was created by the Office of the Secretary, Public Affairs team at the U.S. Department of Transportation to encourage stakeholders across the country to commit to specific and tangible actions to reduce serious injuries and deaths on our roadways.
This Call-to-Action stems from DOT's National Roadway Safety Strategy, which guides the Department's efforts in this area and recognizes that getting to zero fatalities will take efforts at all levels of government and across sectors. This Call-to-Action also follows DOT's recent announcement of the first round of nearly $1 billion in funding to help local communities improve roadway safety.
Several organizations, governments and companies have already shared their commitments. As these entities join in, they can play a powerful role in encouraging others to do their part.
Together we can make streets safer for all. Visit www.transportation.gov/NRSS or email nrss@dot.gov for more information.
