Since January 2025, AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps Seniors have faced unprecedented disruptions — including terminated grants, delayed funding, and other actions from the Administration.
Thanks to strong bipartisan support in Congress and powerful advocacy from people like you, key funding was restored, allowing AmeriCorps members to continue serving communities across the country.
But the fight isn’t over. Congress now faces a choice between two dramatically different futures for national service.
The Senate’s FY26 proposal protects AmeriCorps funding - ensuring members can continue tutoring students, supporting veterans, responding to disasters, and strengthening local communities.
The House proposal, on the other hand, slashes funding by more than 50%, eliminating tens of thousands of service opportunities and leaving schools, nonprofits, and communities without critical support.
We’ve seen that advocacy works. When Americans spoke up earlier this year, the Administration released $200 million in withheld FY25 funds. Now we need to raise our voices again.
Use our updated social media toolkit to:
• Share sample posts and graphics that spread the word about what’s at stake.
• Urge your networks to email Congress and demand full funding for AmeriCorps in FY26.
• Keep the pressure on - even if you’ve already taken action.
Together, we can #SaveAmeriCorps.
