The American Connection Corps (ACC), an AmeriCorps program of Lead For America, is a paid, year-long service fellowship focused on helping communities build the digital connectivity needed to expand opportunity and economic mobility.
Across the country, ACC Members serve with local organizations on projects shaped by community priorities, from broadband expansion and digital skills to telehealth access and AI readiness. During their service year, Members receive training, professional development, and ongoing support while building practical skills and contributing to community-led solutions.

As a program of Lead For America, the American Connection Corps is part of a broader effort to activate local talent through place-based service and training.
While national in scope, ACC operates from a deep respect for place. Each community has its own priorities and context, and service is most effective when it reflects that.
We believe leaders are strongest when they are connected to the community they serve. That’s why ACC supports people serving in places where they have lived experience, helping build a nation where all communities have the local talent and leadership to realize their unique visions.
